I’m Not Sure if I Need to See an Optometrist or an Ophthalmologist.

An optometrist, or optometric physician, acts as the “primary care” doctor of eyes. They examine, diagnose and treat various eye conditions. Treatment can include determining the correct prescription for eyeglasses, contact lenses, sunglasses, medicated eye drops, or oral medications. If the optometrists at Everything Eyes determine that you need an advanced medical procedure such as eye surgery, they may refer you to an ophthalmologist.

How Often Should I Have an Eye Exam?

Infants should have their eyes examined at 6 months. Kids every 1-2 years starting at age 3. Adults over 40 should have their eyes examined yearly.

Why Should I Get My Eyes Examined Yearly?

Early detection is key for any eye disease. Just because you can see 20/20 does not mean everything is okay with your eyes. At Everything Eyes eyecare we check from the front of your eye to the back of your eye for any sign of eye disease.

My Child Had the Vision Screening at Their School. Do They Still Need a Comprehensive Eye Exam?

Yes, vision screenings at school are a great way to pick up some vision problems but are no means comprehensive enough to find mild health or vision problems. The only way to make sure everything is working the way it should is by having a comprehensive eye exam.

Do You Treat Medical Eye Conditions Like Pink Eye or Allergies?

Yes. Dr. Garmizo and Dr. Golchin are trained to treat ocular conditions both topically and orally if needed.

What Do I Need to Bring With Me to My Eye Exam?

Please bring any glasses or contacts you are currently using including your sunglasses. Also bring your current vision insurance card, your current medical insurance card, and a list of your current medications including the dosages you are taking.

Do You Accept Insurance?
